I was off the globe and watching from afar but Pearl's blog about Taylor prodded or maybe kinda "provoked" me into writing an entry about Taylor's VMA performance.
A LOT of people said that Taylor NEEDS to get over things that happened a year ago and that Kanye already got what he deserves blah blah blah...
But if you were to listen to her lyrics closely, it is NOT about her not forgiving Kanye for what he did, but the contrary actually. (what's with the so many "not"s?! @__@) Taylor HAD forgiven him and wrote a song for Kanye to encourage him to be who he is and start afresh. This song is also to tell people to not hate Kanye for what he did and that he is still an innocent.
I think maybe Taylor is TOO famous or infamous for her boyfriend break up songs that people actually misunderstood that she hasn't gotten over the mike snatching incident last year.

The VMA this year wasn't her best performance BUT she wasn't all out of tune, her voice just sounded strained. T^T
I love the chorus, it's really nice. At LEAST she didn't write a hate song about Kanye. I don't think she hates him but actually kinda respects him for being fearless and jumping on the stage to get the mike for her to voice out his beliefs. =D

When I look up to the sky between the narrow roofs, it reminds me of you, the one who is far far away
As I listen to this song, I picture a girl loving this boy who is 'untouchable'. Untouchable here meaning someone who cannot be reached or is very far away. Be it distance between physical bodies or hearts, the guy is just too far to the point of being untouchable. The girl is having her heart wrenched out as the guy is slipping away becoming further and further from her reach.
Here I bring in SasuSaku. Same scenario. Sasuke cannot be reached in both ways. Sakura tries her best to reach out to him, offering him love and comfort. Silently, she waits and hopes that she might be able to touch him and his heart. Never giving up any hope.
Okay, I know that she must be celebrating now because of the time difference but it's midnight here and it's 13 December! Yes, her birthday actually falls on the day before mine. Wow. She's 20 now, not a teen anymore. Taylor is great. You tell me, how many people made millions of dollars in their teens out of their own effort? Not much. She has lots of fans and she's very lovable!
