VAMPIRE KNIGHT LIGHT NOVEL ICE BLUE SIN//

Friday, July 9, 2010 @ 11:05 PM

It was after dinner, I went walking aimlessly about Simei Popular Bookstore, looking at random stuff and unconsciously went to the manga section. And the first thing I noticed was the black spine of this Vampire Knight light novel within the red and white volumes~!

Hah~ I really hope they go on to translate the second light novel cuz that one centers my favourite pairing in VK!!! >.<

I didn't think that ChuangYi would ever do translations for light novels; unlike Viz Media (but they don't do translations for ALL books either, meh) which I thought would do it first~

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FANBOOK!

*faints*

Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa//

Monday, May 17, 2010 @ 10:52 PM

16 year old Meghan Chase had always felt as though she never fit in; be it school or home. Everything starts to unravel before her very eyes as she sets out on a journey to rescue her stolen little brother from Nevernever (Land of Fey). She soon finds out that she's the daughter of a mythical faery king, and what will become of her love for a young prince with an icy heart...

Finished it – yay for reading on the train!~

I'm a sucker for shounen and shoujo and this is a mix of both which made me really happy and glad that I picked it up. The hero has character and depth; Meghan is very likable and relatable – those parts in the mortal world anyway. The my fetish for cats is satiated here too! A talking cat! YESH! Ha! And the prince – first thing I thought was: Ash? Isn't that the pokemon guy name? XD Anyway, he's a good match for our hero. Yay! New shipping... >.<

This book is people friendly; great for people who have never read anything about faeries – not Tinkerbell-ish type – before and want a good adventure/romance/fantasy book. ;P

Reading: Percy Jackson and the Olympians(The Lightning Thief)//

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 @ 10:40 PM

This is my current read when I travel on the dreaded MRT to and from work. You don't see this edition much in Singapore, most are Puffin published. I bought this book in Korea for a relatively low price. There was only a small english section in that book store. Most were adult novels, there was the Twilight Saga of course and this book tucked away in a dusty little corner, crying out: Pick me! Pick me! *laughs*

I love Greek Mythology and am always fascinated by the stories and legends. This is not the first time I read story books with Greek myths in them. I like the way it's written in the protagonist's point of view, Percy or should I say Perseus... Haha~ He hates it when people uses his real name. Anyway, it's a great read and Avelin can vouch for that, she has the exact same book as me! Actually, I copied her. Hehe~

This book has LOTS of action in it. Hah~ A fan of fantasy, action and sheer humor would love this book. *peace*

Reading: hush, hush//

I like spending money on books. It's just a habit that I cannot kick. *sighs*
My mom would nag at me to go to the library to borrow them instead of spending $20-30 on one book. When I was younger, it used to be around $15 per book, now...
I just have to have them!

I bought this book at Changi International Airport: hush, hush

You know how I'm a sucker for romance.. And fantasy. Well, this book have both ROMANCE and FANTASY in it! About angels, fallen angels, guys...etc. It's a good read that would make you bite your nails to the core! Move over Twilight! *laughs* Summary here. ^^

I took a break off writing yesterday, birthday and all.. I went to Kinokuniya and bought two books.

The fanbook is in english so I and I really hope that Viz Media will do the same for the new Naruto artbook. I read finish the both of them last night.

Just this morning, I was flipping through my mum's magazine and I spotted Taylor! That really made my day. *smiles*
